NFL Championship Week In Review

I just got done mailing my sympathy cards to Lee Evans of the Ravens and Kyle Williams of the 49ers. Those poor guys. The Patriots defender just made one hell of a play to knock the ball out of Lee Evan's hands in the endzone. I normally do not give props to any of the Patriots but that was some play, great awareness. Kyle Williams you feel for as well because the punt that went off his leg is just a matter of the football going left or right. That ball bounces the opposite direction and the play isn't even an issue. The fumble on the OT punt is a matter of "shit happening".

As for Mr. Billy Cundiff, the Ravens kicker, you my friend are a goat. Doug Brien, paging Doug Brien. How ya doin` Shankapotomus? One of the worst field goal attempts of all time.

Ravens vs. Patriots
This game just irritated me. Tom Brady, I wish upon you the worst case of genital herpes but Jesus H. Christ you are clutch. I will not say anymore regarding this game because it is just too painful.

Giants vs. 49ers
I picked the Giants last week to pull out the W. The Giants defense gave up the 2 big scoring plays to Vernon Davis but that is relatively it. Alex Smith is just another average QB that relies on his underneath passes and running game. Frank Gore had a few decent runs but nothing that great. The stat of this game is, of the 12 of Alex Smith's completed passes only 1 went to a wide receiver. A 3 yard out route to Michael Crabtree on 3rd and 5. 999/1000 that type of stat means you are going to lose the game.

Me and my fellow Jets fans, this is the SuperBowl sequel from hell. Again? Again!!!! Second time in 4 years, what the fucking fuck? It is painful and the desired outcome may be fuzzy for some of you. Kind of like having the choice of being with 1 of 2 women for the rest of your life. One is an absolute beauty but drives you crazy and will probably cause you to live an abbreviate life. On the other hand is an ugly broad but she is the coolest girl ever. What to do what to do?

For me the desired victor is simple. It has to be the Giants. New York team is the first factor. The second factor is as a Jets fan the Giants are only rivals because they play in the same city and stadium, de facto rivals if you may. We only play them once every 4 years. The Patriots are our rival, playing them twice a year and seldom beating them. We are David and they are Goliath. We want to seem them just fall short.
Of course either outcome will be bitter sweet (emphasis on the bitter) but you have to be rooting for the Giants here. I won't knock you if you don't. The best outcome would be if I win the final on my big SuperBowl box, then anybody can win, including myself.
