Around The Sporting World

MLB:

Mets fall 9 out of the wild card and lose Reyes and Murphy, pretty much ending their season.

Yankees lose 2 out of 3 to Boston, falling one game out of first.

Golf:

The no name guy who won the tournament this weekend won with Tiger's old caddy. Since Tiger didn't win, they had to find a way to mention something about him.

NFL:

Giants first round pick breaks his foot leaving open tryouts for all those who might be able to play cornerback in the NFL.

Jets sign Derrick Mason who is one big hit away from turning to dust.

Shaun Ellis signs with the Patriots leaving Rex Ryan to be a prick saying he is and not going to wish him well. Maybe tell your GM to offer a guy who's been a mainstay on your d-line for his entire career more than the veterans minimum you jackass.
