The Priority List

Pretty much everyone on planet earth knows that all men have a priority list. These priorities, in no specific order are sports, food and sex. These are in no specific order because depending on the circumstances the priorities change. There are plenty of different combinations of the three, but I am just going to give you a few examples on how the list can change.

For arguments sake, let's just say you're a really big Yankee fan. You're girlfriend just happens to arrive at your place in the bottom of the ninth inning against Boston. She's ready to get freaky and down to business; but the Yanks are down by two runs, they have the bases loaded with one out, and Granderson's up. You also do not have the option of DVR or TIVO and the Yanks and Boston are currently tied for the AL East lead late in September. What happens now? Well, any true fan knows that sex is no longer number one on the priority list at this point in time. Sports comes before everything at this moment. Sex will have to wait until after the game, and food will have to wait until after the sex. So in this case the list would go sports, sex, food.

Now let's say you're out at a bar with your friends watching a game. It's not a game you relatively care about, you're just out to have a good time. A group of smoking hot girls come into the bar. One makes eye contact with you and gives you "that look". You know you got it if you just say the right things. You go over, and try to start making some plays. What happens now? Now your list becomes sex, sex, and food. In this equation we disregard sports. Sex becomes the objective, therefore you use up two spots on the priority list with it. This means that if you get shut down by the first girl, you just move to a less attractive one after a few drinks. It's a simple concept.

Those are just two examples of how the priority list can change. If you come up with your own scenarios of how the priority list can change, email me at hammer@talkofthetown.me or comment on this post. If your scenarios are good, I will definitely post them on here. I want to hear your thoughts on the priority list and what it means to you. I just hope that I have brought some knowledge to your day.
