What Would Happen If The Jets Lose To The Broncos On Thursday?

Let's just say, hypothetically speaking, that the New York Jets lose to the Denver Broncos this Thursday night. They would be sitting at 5-5 and be trying to catch their breath. Although I don't actually think they're gonna lose on Thursday I think it would be fun to play out the scenario's of what the Jets, their management, their fat loud mouth coach and most of all, their fans would do.

Well, my first guess is that Rex Ryan probably won't be thrilled. He'll probably do what he usually does in his press conferences and that is throw Mark Sanchez under the bus because it seems more and more like those two actually hate each other. He would then follow this up by cursing out a reporter for asking if he still thinks his team is going to win the Super Bowl, at which point he will then get defensive and say his team has no shot to make the playoffs and storm out of the press conference.

Management will still not fire Brian Schottenheimer, for reasons that even non Jet fans can actually figure out, and they will say that Sanchez has been to the last two AFC Championship games and that Shonn Greene is still a good runningback even though he's still living off a playoff game against San Diego in 2009. They will then look at possible ways to bring Vernon Gholston back to sure up that defensive line and their pass rush.

Finally, their fans will most likely go back in the closet, hiding and keeping their mouths shut for all of five minutes. Once those five minutes are over they will all use sayings like, "Well the Giants suck and Sanchez is still better than Eli." The response to this should be, "You clearly haven't been watching football," and then you should end the conversation. There will also be numerous Jet fans threatening to jump off of buildings everywhere but they will be talked out of it by police because police will make them realize that their team has always sucked and hasn't won anything since 1969.

Now, they will probably crush the Broncos on Thursday, so these are all just hypothetical scenarios. But how hilarious would it be if they actually lost to the second coming named Tim Tebow tomorrow night? The world's of facebook and sports will be extremely quiet. And that is what anyone who isn't a Jet fan is hoping for. A quiet night, and a great night's sleep.

Sidenote: Oh, and I almost forgot, Slothy will probably still write a post about how the Jets are BY FAR the best team in the AFC even though they haven't beaten one playoff team yet.
