Who Will Have The Better Year?

Lucas Duda

VS

Nick Swisher

There is a heated debate going on amongst my friends over which New York right fielder will have the better season. Is it going to be the Yankees Nick Swisher or the Mets Lucas Duda? I have to say, neither of them are off to what we would call a great start. Swisher is hitting .208 with 2 home runs and 6 RBI's out of the gate and also had a .367 on base percentage. Lucas Duda is hitting .136 with 2 home runs and 2 RBI's and a horrendous .208 on base percentage. So right now while Swisher is in the early lead, we all know that the tides can change day by day and week by week. However, if I had to choose which player was going to have the better year, I'm going with Swisher. Why? He plays 81 games with the short porch in Yankee Stadium and another nine or ten up in Boston. That's 90 games minimum in hitters ball parks. Duda plays 81 games at Citi Field and is gonna be facing Cliff Lee, Roy Halladay, Cole Hamels, Josh Johnson, Stephen Strasburg, John Lannon, Tim Hudson, Tommy Hanson and got knows how many other awesome arms who can just rip him to shreds. Logically speaking, you have to pick Swisher to have the better year, it's a no brainer.
