Is This Red Sox Collapse Funny To Anyone Else?

I'm not even a Yankee fan, but this Red Sox thing is hysterical to me. Seriously, with the guys they have on that team how they can't even hit their way to the wild card amazes me. All off season we hear about this was going to be the greatest lineup that baseball has ever seen, their pitching staff had aces from top to bottom and their bullpen was unhittable on the back end with Bard and Papelbon. I'll even admit, I picked them to go to the series.

Now look at them, blowing an 8 1/2 game lead, going 6-16 up to this point in September and about to get passed by the Tampa Bay Rays. Look, Tampa's a nice little story and everything, but let's get real. That team is shit. Longoria is their best player and he's hitting like .240. Yes he has 29 home runs and 95 RBI's but that team is shit. Price is good but Shields is overrated and I couldn't tell you who their other pitchers are.

When the Rays pass Boston on Wednesday and win the AL Wild Card, this will be the biggest collapse in the history of baseball. Worse than the '07 Mets. Why it's funny is because the city of Boston thinks their sports cannot be topped. Well news flash, your Sox ain't the Yankees. Have fun golfing on Thursday.
