The 2013 Dream Dunk Contest (What It Should Have Looked Like)

The lack of superstars in the slam dunk contest makes it literally the most disappointing thing to watch every year. There's no star power, there's nothing that makes you want to keep watching and there is nothing that makes you not want to change the channel to the Beyonce documentary that is going on at the same exact time. So here is what the 2013 Dream Dunk Contest would have looked like. I'm going to give you six guys with total disregard for conferences because I'm taking the six most explosive dunkers.

1) Blake Griffin: The choice here is obvious. The guy can barely shoot the basketball but when it comes to throwing it down he does it better than anybody. Although I don't think a 6'10 guy jumping over the hood of a car is all that impressive it was still the best dunk we have seen in a while and he should do this every year.

2) LeBron James: Come on. He's the most explosive player in the game. Everyone would be tuned in just to see what he would do next. It's not even a question to me, he can do things that nobody else who's ever picked up a basketball can do.

3) Gerald Green: Not only is he an explosive dunker but he also comes up with some pretty sweet ideas in a contest where basically everything has been done.

4) Josh Smith: When it comes to being an explosive dunker this guy is right there with the best of them. He's also a hell of a basketball player when you get to watch him but putting him in a dunk contest with these guys would bring out an absolute beast in him.

5) Russell Westbrook: He is incredibly explosive and we all know he can literally jump through the gym. If he was ever in a dunk contest he would be my dark horse because outside of LeBron he's probably the most athletic player in the league.

6) Rudy Gay: He's long, he's athletic, and he'll throw it down and tea bag your face all day long. He goes extremely unnoticed because of where he has played but when it comes to dunking the guy is just as exciting as the other five on this list.
