Look, Bud Selig and Derek Jeter are both wrong in this situation. First off, let me say that I am a huge Derek Jeter fan. He's a class act and one of the only guys who hasn't done anything to tarnish his legacy. But in this situation, he should be at the All Star Game. Yeah you're numbers aren't All Star caliber, but the fans still voted you in. You just got 3,000 hits and now you're saying that you're not going to the game because of "mental and physical exhaustion from chasing 3,000". You got off the DL like three days before you got to 3,000. Are you kidding me? You had two weeks to rest, you should be at the game, end of story. Oh, and Bud Selig, grow a pair and stand up for the fans. You know Jeter should be there, stop putting on this front about how much he's done for the game. We know how much he's done for the game and that's why he should at least show up.
