Why Does Tim Tebow Deserve to Start?

Tim Tebow is the only quarterback in the history of football that people talk about and say that he "deserves to start". Why does he deserve to start? Because he won a couple of games against back up quarterbacks? Because he put out fires he started? His stats are terrible and he's an awful practice player, don't try and sit there and tell me about the intangibles.

Everyone forgets that year that there was a period of time where you couldn't score on Denvers defense. However, for three and a half quarters Tebow couldn't move the football. Suddenly, teams went to prevent defenses against him and he would escape from the pocket and move the ball and his team would win the game 10-7. That's not a quarterback who deserves to start in the NFL.

Also, don't make it like he's this wild runner who's like RG III and Russell Wilson. He's not even close to being as athletic as those guys. Tebow is more of a fullback, he's not a fast guy. So don't say he can play in the wildcat or read option package because he can't.

There has never been a guy who anyone says deserves to start. Tebow is a guy you keep on your team as a third string quarterback who's good for the locker room. He was a great college football player, but he is not an NFL starting quarterback. He can't hit small windows and make basic throws, he is not a starter in the NFL.
