You're having a conversation with a person who you haven't seen in a very long time and at first it's going good, but then what happens when the conversation goes on for too long? There's almost nothing left to talk about and you both feel weird and don't know how to end the conversation. Someone needs to abruptly end this conversation immediately, and I'm gonna give you some advice on how to do it.
First there is the, "Well, I have to meet somebody" conversation ender. As the awkward silence comes into play you throw on the table that you have to meet someone. This makes the person you're talking to not feel so terrible, and they can kind of believe you if you're in a crowded public place.
Then we have the, "We should meet up sometime" conversation ender. The only response to this is usually, "Yeah definitely," and then it doesn't actually happen. You both walk away knowing that you're not gonna see each other for about another ten years, but it's perfectly fine, you just wanted the conversation over with.
Finally, there's the "My bad, I'm in a rush" conversation ender. You talk real quick, you know the conversation is going nowhere from the beginning and the only plausible thing to do is to just get in and get out of the conversation as quickly as possible. The other person doesn't even have time to react to this statement and you move on planning to never actually see them again.
