I Wanna Hate RGIII So Bad But He Makes it So Hard

As a Giants fan I really want to hate RGIII so badly, but then I watch him talk in interviews and all over ESPN and everything and I just can't find it in myself to hate him. He's not like Tebow where he's praising god and all this other shit; he's just talking about football. And when he talks about football he never says the wrong thing, he's always giving everyone else credit, and then he just goes out and makes fucking plays. Would I like to see him get injured tonight against my GMen? Not like seriously injured, just like he tweaks an ankle and he's fine tomorrow. I would just like him to not play tonight quite honestly. Because if he's playing against your team, he scares the shit out of you. I wanna hate the guy, I just can't. But tonight, I'm gonna try my best.

If You're a Mets Fan and You're Not Pumped That the Mets Are Ready to Trade R.A. Dickey, You Don't Have a Pulse

http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/8706592/boston-red-sox-7-others-talk-new-york-mets-ra-dickey-source-says

For the first time in a while the Mets are the talk of the MLB Winter Meetings and I couldn't be more happy about it. Why? Because there are so many teams looking into trading for R.A. Dickey that there is almost no way the Mets don't get some awesome pieces in return. Barring GM Sandy Alderson doing LSD between now and the end of the week the Mets roster or farm system is going to look way more promising than it did this year. Alderson is apparently looking for a "substantial difference maker" for Dickey. This is some of the best news you can hear if you're a Mets fan. We are selling high for the first time in a very long time. I can't wait to see how this plays out, but if we can deal him; it will pay off within the next three years. Write it down now.

I Feel Like Everybody in America Should Carry Around a Stack of These

I don't know why I just feel like every person in America should be entitled to a huge stack of these cards to use at their discretion. Like how many times do you drive into a parking lot and see some asshole taking up two spots? Daily basis for me. Or even when you go to park in the street and there is clearly enough room for two spots but the asshole who parked there decided to park directly in the middle so no one else can fit. That guy deserves a swift kick in the balls. But there should be a mandatory rule that everyone in America gets a free stack of these, and then you have to buy your next stacks for three cents per card. I think that's a fair start. Anyone else have any bright ideas?

Hey Bro, You're Doing it Wrong

You know who's not winning any Olympic medals? This fucking guy. I was kind of hoping he wasn't going to get to the ledge and we could have witnessed a fat guy drowning himself, but regardless this dude looks like he should be riding the short bus to school.

Will Mike Vick Be A Jet Next Season?

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/eye-on-football/21245375/andy-reid-nick-foles-is-eagles-starter-for-remainder-of-2012

So Andy Reid has finally come out and named Nick Foles the starter for the rest of the season, putting one of the most dynamic players in NFL history on the bench, and more than likely allowing him the freedom to move on from Philly next season.

On that same token, Rex Ryan decided to pull Sanchez yesterday in favor of Not Rory Mcelroy. Mcelroy went on the manage the game in an effective way and "lead" a scoring drive which wound up being the game winning drive in a game that could be described as "defensively minded" to be kind.

So, my prediction is Rex will come out and say that Mcelroy is starting this week, but won't commit to him. Then, the Jets will literally destroy the Jaguars and Mcelroy will be named the starter in the following week. Now, I hope to god this guy is the next 6th round phenom (Tom Brady), but most of the evidence suggests that won't be the case. Regardless, once he's named the starter (which he will be), the Sanchez era is officially over.

Now, the question in the offseason becomes do you stick with Mcelroy even if it's obvious that he'll be just another game manager, or do you go out and sign (overpay) for a high risk player like Mike Vick. I say go for it. Mcelroy will more than likely not become Tom Brady and he will almost definitely keep the team mediocre. Vick has the skillset to be an IMPACT player on any team and turn them into a competitor. I'm not saying his performance this year or at the end of last year reflects that statement or has any validity; but anybody who has watched this dude play, knows that he CAN be "the guy."

He's the perfect fit for the Jets and Woody Johnson. Just an enormous headline. I can almost guarantee he's part of Gang Green next season, you heard it here first.

Either I'm Nostradamus or the Jets Read My Blog

Wow, either I'm the second coming of Nostradamus or someone from the Jets reads my blog. I mean come on. I write this little piece on Friday (http://talkofthetown.me/blog/index.php?id=831243575081499828) and then on Sunday Greg McElroy is coming into the game for Mark Sanchez. I might be a fucking genius. I mean I don't mean to pat myself on the back or give myself some self accolades but I mean come on, did we not see the series of events that happened this weekend? I wrote a post about Greg McElroy on Friday, and by Sunday this guy is in the game. Either I'm that good, or the Jets read my blog. I'm still trying to figure out which one it is, but I'm leaning towards me be really, really good at this shit.
