Well according to sources the Jets are openly looking to shop Darrelle Revis this off season. He's a free agent at the end of the 2013 season and there's a clause in his contract that says they can't franchise him. They're also not confident at all that they'll be able to re-sign him anyway. So what do you do? Guess what Jets fans, sorry to tell you this but your best bet is to trade him while you can. Why? You don't want to renegotiate and pay a guy a shit ton of money coming off major knee surgery. You also don't want him to walk if you don't think you can re-sign him. Also, your team is absolutely atrocious and he is your only asset. The Jets need a real infusion of NFL talent and the only way they're going to get that is by trading him for some serious picks and building through the draft. Trade Revis now, get what you can and rebuild the franchise. That would make sense, but don't forget that they're the Jets and the things they do rarely make sense. Meaning that I simply see Revis playing out his contract and moving to another team with the Jets getting nothing for him. Why? Because they're the Jets and that's how they roll.
