It's not secret to anyone who hasn't been living under a rock that Ryan Braun tested positive for steriods this off season, which was then overturned because of legal issues and the test being wrong. He had his MVP award taken away and his reputation ruined. But he was proven innocent, and some dumbass people can't deal with that.
Look at his numbers from last year to this year. Last season Braun his .332 with 33 home runs and 111 RBI's, and that was hitting in front of Prince Fielder. This season with zero protection in his lineup and no one hitting behind him he's hitting .313 with 40 home runs and 104 RBI's right now. He's one of the main reasons that the Brewers are only two and a half games out of the second wild card spot and he's validating his innocence.
His career numbers have never spiked at any point. He has been consistent from the day he came into the league until right now. For his career, his batting average is .312, and he averages about 33-34 home runs every year. There has never been any type of spike in his numbers and for people to think a fucked up test is the reason he shouldn't win an MVP award is ridiculous. He is single handedly carrying the Brewers right now. Take Braun off that team and they would be schedule tee times for October right about now. But instead they're in the thick of the race and battling for the second wild card spot.
There's no doubt in my mind that Braun should win the NL MVP this year, or at the very least be in the running. You'd have to be an idiot to take steroids with the testing that's going on right now. Just look at Melky, the guy never hit .300 in his career and suddenly this year he was hitting .350. That's abnormal and doesn't happen. With Braun I'm a believer, the guy is just a great baseball player. To hold this against him is nonsense. He should be in the MVP running.
