My favorite part about working at a bar is that I get to watch a lot of man and woman interactions. The other night I just watched some guy get absolutely crushed and then try to fight it right then and there. But once she crushes you like this, you can't fight it because you are 100% finished. Her mind is made up.
First of all, she's a complete bitch because clearly these two had been out more than a handful of times and it was at that point where it can start to get serious or you just cut it off. They had been at the bar for a solid three hours drinking and then suddenly he made the mistake of bringing up the what are we talk. You never do that when you're drunk it can't turn out well and this one did not.
She said, "Look, I'm still talking to my ex." Now instead of punching her in the throat like a normal guy would have done he decided to fight it asking why, what can he do, and why didn't she say anything. I can agree with the last part of that statement but I cannot agree with fighting it and/or the what can he do part. You can't do anything bro, once she tells you the ex is still in the picture it means her mind is made up, she's most likely getting back with him and you're done.
Finally, she said, "I'm just telling you how it is." And instead of asking me for the check and leaving, he fought it some more. It was like watching that kid who talks a lot of shit get beat up by the quiet kid who knows how to fight. The more he keeps getting punched, the more he keeps going back and getting his ass kicked some more. It ended with her drunkenly leaving and him asking me for the check with a sad, sad look on his face. Learn your lesson fella's, once the ex brought up in any way other than he's dead or lives in another country, get out and run far, far away. You are finished, she is getting back with him.
