We know for sure that this year in college basketball there is not one dominant team. There isn't a team with four NBA guys in their starting five who's just going to blow everyone out. It's a pretty level playing field. Now what we also know is that the Big Ten is actually the best conference this year. The Big East is down, the ACC is down and the Pac 12 and the Big 12 are both not very good. And we also know about the SEC and how that conference as a whole is pretty abysmal.
So who is the best team in college basketball? If you had to pick right now it's between Florida, Michigan and Indiana. I get that Florida, Indiana and Michigan have all lost in the last two weeks but so has everybody. You can't blow up road losses in college basketball. They're still just kids and when they go into tough environments they get flustered. Look at what they've done on the neutral court, and look at what they've done at home. That's what is going to matter come tournament time.
Right now I will say that the best team in college basketball is Indiana. If Christian Waterford plays well, they are the best team in the country. However, Florida is a close second and Michigan has the best player in the country. But as of this moment, it's Indiana. Don't tell me I'm a moron because they lost to Illinois last night, it's the Big Ten on the road and things like that happen. Indiana is still the best team in my opinion followed closely by Florida and Michigan. This year's tournament should be a lot of fun.
