It has been no secret since LeBron James came into the league that he has the most talent on the floor every time he is on it. But what LeBron has done over the last five games and this entire season in general is nothing short of amazing. There is no debate, he's the best player in the NBA.
The numbers don't lie. Over his last five games he's averaging 31 points per game, shooting 71.4% from the field as well as shooting 60% from three. Those numbers in itself are ridiculous but look at the numbers he is putting up as a whole for the entire season. Those are even more staggering. For the season LeBron is averaging 27 points per game, 6.9 assists, 8.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals. This is while shooting 56% from the filed, 42% from three point range and 74% from the free throw line.
The list of players who have averaged that many points, that many assists and that many rebounds while shooting that high of a field goal percentage in a season are as follows:
LeBron James
And that's it. There hasn't been a player in the league as productive as he has been this season, ever. Kevin Durant can match him in scoring, Rajon Rondo can match him in assists and Dwight Howard can match him in rebounds. But the only guy who is the best in the league at all three is LeBron. Not only is he the best player on the floor because of his sheer talent, but he's also the best player on the floor because he makes his team that much better. Right now the picture is as clear as it's ever been. It's LeBron James, and everybody else.
