Is Joe Flacco to Blame for the Dismantling of the Ravens?
Joe Flacco, the new highest paid player in the NFL made headlines when he signed his new contract. He was the Super Bowl MVP who had a great playoff run but when it came to the regular season he was above average and always has been. He said his new contract made him feel respected. Well guess what folks? Now since Joe Flacco feels respected the rest of his team is being ripped apart and dismantled by the rest of the NFL in the form of a thing called free agency. Paul Kruger the team's sack leader is gone, Dannell Ellerbe shipped town for a big contract, Anquan Boldin got traded to San Francisco and Bernard Pollard got the axe. Can we blame Joe Flacco for all of this? Probably. Because when you pay one guy a bunch of money that he really doesn't deserve, the rest of the team wonders where theres is. And when they don't get theres from you, they will get it from someone else. And when you're subjected to trading a guy like Boldin instead of working out a deal you have some real problems. Is over paying for a quarterback really worth the dismantling of your entire championship team? I don't think so. But I guess we will learn a lot from the upcoming season. We will learn just how good Joe Flacco really is. Because it's time for him to put the team on his back.
