Paterno Out At Penn State

So Penn State did what they think they needed to do. And that was fire Joe Paterno for this whole sex scandal that everyone on that campus tried to cover up. When I say everyone I mean like the adults involved in the football program I'm not talking about students here at all. But I think everyone loses sight of the fact that it wasn't Paterno who was doing this, it was one of his coaches.

Okay, he didn't tell the police when the Mcqueary guy came to him and told him that he actually saw Coach Sandusky in the shower with a ten year old kid. He went to the athletic director. Paterno didn't actually see it happening, and I'm pretty sure he wasn't told while it was going on. If he calls the cops and says this, it's just an allegation. Unless Joe Pa witnessed it firsthand, he can't really go to the cops. So he went to the Athletic Director, who then in turn covered it up.

The Athletic Director should be fired for doing absolutely nothing about it. He says to Sandusky that he just can't bring little kids on campus anymore. Are you fucking kidding me? Just don't bring kids on campus anymore? That's basically saying go rape little kids, just not on our campus. That's a fucking joke. If you know this guys doing this, how do you not want to beat the living shit out of him. And if you saw it happening, you're getting into a fight right there. Even if he kicks your ass, you have to protect that kid. You're not a man, you're a pussy if you see this happening and walk away.

I really don't think by firing Paterno this whole thing just goes away. It doesn't. You can fire him, but now the light is just gonna be put on someone else. I guess everything needs a scapegoat and in this case it was Paterno. But don't lose sight of the fact that he didn't actually do this. Yeah, maybe he could've done more, but he went to a higher person and they decided to cover it up. If you're gonna fire Paterno, you fire everyone. They're all guilty. Burn it down and start all over.
