Men are probably the most competitive assholes on the face of the earth (I happen to be one of these assholes). All we care about is being better than the guy next to us. Everything is a dick measuring contest with your friends. I don't know what it is, but there is always some sort of competition going on with dudes. Whether it's drinking, or just doing something stupid, we will always compete with each other.
How bad is it? It's very bad. Especially when you just get a bunch of dudes who are super obnoxious and they all think they're better than everybody in the room. The only problem is that most of them would probably get beat up by anyone over the age of 18, therefore, they're not exactly what we would qualify as tough.
See those beers in the picture up top? Those guys are about to see who can chug them the fastest. Why and how do I know that? Because I'm a guy, and that's what guys do. They challenge each other and they make each other better. Even if making each other better means throwing up a little bit that's okay. Sometimes we have to sacrifice one for the good of the team.
Bottom line here is that no matter what you do as a man, you can't do anything right and you will always be competing. Whether it's over women, chugging beer, or something else you'll always compete. It's the never ending race to become the alpha male. Much like myself.
