Tiger's Drop Probably Cost Him the Masters

Alright, this Tiger Woods improper drop might be the most confusing thing outside of brain surgery that I have ever tried to figure out in my entire life. I don't know what he did or didn't do because I don't understand the rules. In my morning of trying to figure this whole thing out I know that there are rules and there are subdivisions of rules and then an interpretation of more rules. All in all, this is the most confusing thing I've ever tried to figure out.

With that being said, let's look at the surface of this whole thing. A great shot that ended up hitting the pole cost Tiger Woods a total of four shots. It cost him a birdie, the drop, and then the two stroke penalty for the illegal drop. How much did he lose by? Four strokes. So that one hole cost Tiger at least a playoff if we're looking on the surface. And I do think it cost him the whole tournament because I'm pretty sure any golfer who gets into a playoff with Tiger is a little bit intimidated by the fact that he's still Tiger Woods.

We can all sit here and make jokes and assumptions and say that Tiger knew what he was doing but realistically, when an official says they brought up rule number 33/A that means there are 32 other rules before that, there is no way Tiger knew the rules. Long story short, Tiger is back and the PGA Tour as well as the entire Norwegian swimming team should be on the look out because he's on a mission.
