The Knicks Win the NBA Championship!...Nah, Just Kidding They Only Won the Atlantic Division

The only reason I'm actually writing this is because I officially lost my bet to Slothy last night when I bet him before the season started that the Nets would win the Atlantic division this year and not the Knicks. Okay, so Slothy was right and he is Nostradamus of this blog. There I said it, Slothy, you win. I will refer to you as Daddy until the Knicks get knocked out of the playoffs.

Now normally I would write about how awesome the Knicks are because they won their division. However, seeing as how Knicks fans currently think they just won the NBA title let me reiterate something to all of you. You haven't won a playoff series in over a decade and you all got excited about last year when you won exactly ONE playoff game. How pathetic is your organization when you're getting excited about one playoff win? You're like the Little Giants getting excited over gaining a yard.

Also, don't sleep on Boston a team who has much more playoff experience than you and a guy who when it comes down to taking the last shot is as good as anyone in basketball. Yes, I would rather have Paul Pierce taking the last shot than Carmelo Anthony in a playoff game. Because Pierce has hit them in big spots in the playoffs before and Carmelo hasn't. That's also not an opinion that's a fact seeing as how Pierce has been out of the first round of the playoffs numerous times and has a ring where Melo is 2-9 in postseason series.

I will gladly congratulate the Knicks on winning their division. But it doesn't mean anything. You don't get rings for winning your division. You get rings for winning titles. And if you don't win a title, it doesn't mean a thing. You're not playing the Wizards in the playoffs my friends, you're playing real basketball teams. Just hope your team hasn't peaked before the playoffs begin. Wouldn't it be a shame if the two seed went out in the first round?
