MLB Opening Day Top Stories

Bryce Harper homers twice, Stephen Strasburg retires 19 in a row and the Nationals shut out the Marlins 2-0.

 
Clayton Kershaw homers and throws a complete game 4 hit shutout as the Dodgers beat the defending champion Giants 4-0. 

 
Jacoby Ellsbury gets three hits, Shane Victorino drives in three runs and the Red Sox hand the Yankees their first Opening Day home loss since 1982 by a score of 8-2. 

 
Chris Iannetta homers and breaks a 1-1 tie in the top of the 13th to drive in all three runs in the Angels 3-1 in Cincinnati. Josh Hamilton goes 0 for 4 in his Angels debut. 

 
Justin Upton homers in his Braves debut along with Freddie Freeman and Dan Uggla. Braves top the Phillies 7-5.
