So International Women's Day is a Thing?

Apparently today is international women's day. I'm just a little baffled because I had no idea that women get their own day to celebrate. What are they celebrating though? I don't get it. It's not like women were liberated from anything. So what, they couldn't vote most of them don't even know who or what they're voting for anyway. I mean most of them just voted for a president based on "what if I get raped and become pregnant," and now they're all complaining about more taxes getting taken out of their paychecks.

Does anyone know how or why this is a thing? Can I get an international men's day where I don't have to shave, I can drink Jack on the rocks and just watch BBQ Pittmasters all day long? No, men don't get a day because we're too busy working to pay for women who want everything for free. Why do women get married? Because it's free. If you're a woman life is free, especially if you're a good looking woman. So why do you get a day? You're not being freed from anything, you're just asking for more attention.

And no, the logic of without women men would be miserable is totally wrong. Why? Because men don't argue. In fact, if it wasn't for women I would probably be sitting naked and eating fruit in a garden right now (see story of Adam and Eve). But enjoy your day ladies, I'll be shoveling snow while you watch Oprah.
