Who Will Take The AL East?

As of right now the American League East anybody's game. The Orioles and the Yankees are tied for first with the Rays only two games back. While the Yankees and Orioles beat each other up this weekend the Rays have the tough task of taking on the Rangers. But in the long run who wins this division?

I know the Yankees are a veteran team and I know that the Orioles have been one of the best stories of the season, but for some strange reason I'm gonna go with the Rays. Why? Because they have the best team ERA in baseball and Evan Longoria has added some serious life to that line up. Also, Joe Maddon has a way of getting his guys to play above and beyond their potential and they have a little bit of recent history on their side. The last two seasons the team with the best ERA during the regular season has wound up in the world series. The Giants of two years ago and last years Rangers.

I'm not a Yankee hater, and I don't believe that Oakland is gonna keep this cinderella story going. I think all three teams get into the playoffs, Rays win the division, and then the Orioles and Yankees play that one game wild card playoff. Yankee fans are gonna tell me I'm crazy, but let's just look at the facts. Unless the Yanks get real healthy, real quick; they're in some serious trouble. Should be an exciting final month. I'm looking forward to it. Let's go Rays!
