I Just Feel Bad For Hockey

What else can I say? I feel bad for hockey. They are just like the unachieving little brother in a family. Not just any family, like the Manning family, or the Molina family. They aren't playing a pro sport, and they don't have a great job. At the dinner table they can't get a word in edgewise, and mom and dad are continually talking about the other two or three kids and all of their accomplishments. Mom and Dad are ESPN in this analogy, so stay with me. Last night, in case you missed it (I know I did), the LA Kings won there first Stanley Cup. Congrats to them. This morning, on the 10 A.M. Sportscenter they weren't the lead, they weren't even the 2nd lead. They got buried until 10:27 and then got a 3-minute segment about winning A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP! Leading story was the NBA Finals, which haven't even started! They haven't even started and they were the lead! This has got to be absolutely detrimental to hockeys already low self-esteem. It's ok though, they still had some hope, they weren't the lead, but big brother basketball finals is very important...surely they'll have the 2nd story and a pretty nice segment; NO Fuck You Hockey! We're going to motherfucking Denver to talk about Peyton Manning 3 months before the first football game of the season! Hockey is just sitting there looking at his small ass piece of steak and burnt vegetables while everyone else on the table has a huge filet cooked medium rare, with a heaping pile of creamed spinach on the side. Dad's sitting at the head of the table just stroking the shaft of his other two son's and hockey tries to speak up...dad lets him talk for 2 minutes and just says: "Hockey, would you just shut the fuck up?"

p.s. There is a reason hockey isn't popular...it is brutal to watch on T.V., plain and simple. Lets go Thunder!
