And the Tigers did what I thought would be nearly impossible to do tonight, and that is beat the Yankees in Yankee Stadium in a deciding game of a series. Look, they had their chances tonight, but Yankee fans let me tell you right now, do not blame A-Rod. Yeah he struck out with the bases loaded, but the guy carried you to the 09 World Series and if anyone would like to debate that I will gladly put you in your place. Next, Mark Teixeira should get just as much blame as anyone, the dude was like 3 for 17 in this series or something like that. CC, your ace, loses game 3 and actually gave up the run that lost you game 5. And finally, I think Russell Martin had money on the game tonight. He didn't have a clue at the plate in this game. Blame that fucking guy if you really wanna blame someone.
But you know what? This is the team you all demanded. You overpaid for Jeter, you overpaid for Tex, you overpaid for Burnett, you overpaid for Soriano and you overpaid for CC, although he has been worth it, and you even overpaid for A-Rod. This whole team is old, overpaid guys who think they are entitled. This is the team the fans wanted, so you have no one to blame but yourselves. And maybe Ivan Nova for bitching out tonight, but whatever.
Sidenote: I give the Tigers credit though, I really didn't think this team had the balls to win this game and they proved me wrong.
