Girls, mostly the hot girls, I have a bone to pick with you. I happen to notice in a lot of your profile pictures on facebook that you all tend to cut your DUFF out of the picture. Your DUFF is your Designated Ugly Fat Friend. This is also the girl who you claim is your "best friend". Really? If she's your best friend, then why are you cutting her out of your profile picture?
The thing that I don't get is how you always stick up for your DUFF when people make fun of her. You're always saying things like, "Stop, she's my best friend," or "Stop, she's nice don't make fun of her." If you really care for your friend that much, why are you so ashamed to have her in a picture with you? It's just something that boggles my mind. But I think I have come up with the reason why.
Girls, I'm sorry, not all of you, but a lot of you are fake. You hang out with your DUFF so you look better when you go out. You also hang out with your DUFF because you're insecure and think you're fat. Or you fish for compliments and want people to tell you how good you look. Either way, you need a DUFF to make you feel better about yourself.
Now, you may need her there just so you feel better, but when push comes to shove you're embarrassed to have her in a picture with you. Maybe you think the guy you're talking to won't want to bring his friends around if he sees your DUFF. Maybe you just don't want people knowing who your DUFF is because she's your DUFF and no one else's. But if you're going to cut your DUFF out of your facebook picture, you can't defend her like you're her best friend. Because realistically, you don't mean what you say.
