I Hate The City Of Philadelphia

On my weekend excursion with Quite Frank-ly through Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and back to New York; I got a bit perturbed to say the least when we stopped in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. First of all, I already have a hatred for the city being that I'm a Mets and Giants fan and the Phillies and Eagles are my two most hated teams in sports. Hate is a strong word, but I hate those two organizations.

Now back to the trip. We stopped there for one reason and one reason only; and that was to see what the fuss was all about with their cheesesteaks. We went to Geno's because the line was shorter than Pat's. These assholes at Geno's rob people. $9 for a cheesesteak and you don't even have the courtesy to cut it in half. And I don't know what the fuss is all about. It wasn't even that great. I would give it a 7 on a scale to 10. It's nothing that I can't do. I could get just as good of a cheesesteak from my boy who has his own food truck in New Jersey (7-1-ATE Catering) as I could get from Geno or Pat, and for half the damn price. I think it's just that people in Philly think that everything they do is the shit so that's why people think their cheesesteaks are the best on the planet. News flash, they're not that good. If I don't want to make myself throw up just so I can eat it again, then it's not that great.

Next, to the roads. Can your roads get any narrower? I would've had trouble driving a razor scooter through those roads, let alone driving an actual car. Needless to say, I wanted to take a rocket launcher and blow up the streets. Then the cobblestone roads. The old world vibrators. What is the need for cobblestone roads? And why do you make a horse and buggy ride on them? It's completely unnecessary. It's the year 2011, get rid of the horse and buggy and get rid of the cops on the horses to. Ben Franklin isn't around anymore, there's no need for that shit.

All in all, I did not have a good experience in the city of Philadelphia. I will give it another try since I have to visit one of my best friends who is pretty much the Van Wilder of St. Joe's University and I still need to try Pat's cheesesteaks so I can tell you guys how it's probably not that great either. But for now, my experience there sucked and I still hate all it's sports teams. The end.
