Giants Preseason Opener

What did I take from the Giants preseason opener? First of all, Jerry Reese, this team has a long way to go to be considered a playoff team. Our first unit looked like shit against one of the worst teams in the NFL. The lone bright spot for me was Jason Pierre-Paul. That's a message Osi, if you don't want to show up, we have guys that will. Keep sitting on the sidelines bro, if you don't want to be here then get out.

Next, Eli Manning looked all sorts of awful. Granted the O-line, which is a totally different disaster, also looked terrible but Eli still sucked. Nicks had his man beat twice and Eli missed him both times. NFL quarterbacks need to make those throws. Sorry Eli, you looked like shit last night. Offensive line, you guys looked terrible as well. Will Beaty, did you even block anyone? Every time I saw you, you were standing around hitting nobody. That was terrible. The new center had no idea what his blocking assignments were and that was pathetic. Are we missing O'Hara and Seubert yet? I know I am. Mario Manningham was invisible and we have the two slowest human beings ever splitting time at tight end. I could get down the field faster in a wheel chair than Bear Pascoe and Jake Ballard.

Johnathan Goff, you have no idea how much I hate you. I would rather put a cone at middle linebacker and hope a runningback trips over it than have you out there missing tackles left and right. You and the defense need some serious back to square one tackling lessons because the tackling was atrocious. I will give you a hint, wrapping up the ball carrier usually works.

And finally, we have my favorite, the special teams. Tom Quinn, special teams coordinator, I would've fired your ass after the second kick off when if it wasn't for a guy tripping on his shoe laces he would've scored. The punt coverage was horrible, the kickoff coverage was horrible, Matt Dodge still sucks, and we over run the play every single time. After last years fiasco against the Eagles and now tonight's awful showing, you would be out of a job if I was running this team.

I was very unimpressed with last night's showing. It was only one game for one quarter but it was still terrible. This team is far away from playoff caliber. Looks like it's going to be a long year for Big Blue.
